A private 27-acre Fiji island with a furnished villa and a bridge to the mainland is going up for auction on Dec. 19, according to the seller.
Wavi Island is one of the few islands in the Fiji archipelago that's a freehold parcel, meaning whoever wins the auction will have outright ownership, according to Mansion Global. Most of Fiji's islands are leased.

The island was previously listed for $20 million and had been a short-term luxury rental resort. The buyer can open it to the public or keep it as a private retreat.
"There is a master plan for any number of future options," listing agent Chester Rendell told Mansion Global. "The choice is yours."
A look at the island
At the center of Wavi Island is the Signature Villa, a fully-furnished 3,000-square-foot residence with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, according to the seller. The villa overlooks the Koro Sea and includes a horizon-edge pool and wet-edge spa.

Other features include a daybed pavilion, barbecue gazebo, a three-car garage, and stone-paved covered walkways, the seller says. The primary suite and guest bedrooms have direct access to the pool and other outdoor spaces.

If the auction winner decides to turn the island into an investment property, there's 19 oceanfront lots ranging from a half to a full acre that can be developed. Other amenities on the island include a manager's house, a guest pool and bar, full-sized tennis court, and private marina.
Wavi Island is connected to Vanua Levu, Fiji's second-largest island, by a roughly quarter-mile long bridge. Vanua Levu is home to an airport and multiple restaurants, and is an hour-long flight from Nadi, where Fiji's international airport is located.
